Front side. The main image of the front side of the banknote is a red deer against the backdrop of the snow-capped Caucasus mountains and a blackbird on a pine branch. In the left sector of the front side there is an image of the state emblem of the Republic of Abkhazia and the denomination of the banknote. In the left corner, in a semicircle to the right, there are seven stars. In the lower left part of the banknote is the signature of the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Abkhazia Beslan Baratelia.

Reverse side. The main image of the reverse side of the banknote is the historical monuments of Abkhazia of the Early Bronze Age - dolmens and cromlechs, as well as ancient bronze items discovered on the territory of Abkhazia during archaeological expeditions. The field on the reverse side of the banknote also contains the denomination designation and the serial number of the banknote.

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Abkhazia from 21.04.2008, no. 2012-с-IV “On the introduction into circulation on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia of commemorative and investment coins and commemorative banknotes”, commemorative banknotes (hereinafter - banknotes) are a currency made on the basis of paper, special types of plastic or their combination. Banknotes may be used as a means of payment, as collectables, and also for investment and hoarding at prices different from their nominal value.
Nominal value (denomination) is the initial value of the price, the nominal value indicated on the banknote. The banknotes issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia (the Bank of Abkhazia) bear the name of “Apsar”.
The price of the banknotes in the initial issue is determined by their nominal value.
The price of the banknotes on the secondary market is set freely.
The Bank of Abkhazia and the credit institutions, free of charge and limitation of the amount, carry out transactions for the exchange of banknotes of the Bank of Abkhazia into the Russian rubles and other currencies with legal entities and individuals with whom they perform banking operations in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Abkhazia.
БThe banknote has two serial numbers located on the reverse side of the banknote. They consist of a two-letter indication of the series and nine digits. The left number can be read on the long side of the banknote, the right one — on the short side.
In the lower right-hand side of the reverse side of the banknote, there is a QR code with a link to the Bank of Abkhazia website containing a description of the banknote’s security features.
The banknote is in purple and navy colours, and it is made out of white cotton paper.
