The volume of transactions in the NPS of the Republic of Abkhazia for the 1st half of 2022 amounted to 12,396.5 million rubles, which is 17.6% higher than the volume of transactions for the same period in 2021.
In the structure of acquiring transactions for the period under review, 47.9% accounted for transactions using APRA cards, 52.1% - for cards of international payment systems (IPS). As part of transactions using MPS cards in the 1st half of 2022, a significant share is occupied by transactions using cards of the MIR payment system, the total volume of transactions for which amounted to 2,092.9 million rubles. (32.5% of MPS).
An analysis of the composition of non-cash transactions in trade and service enterprises (TSE) of the republic shows that in the 1st half of 2022, the total volume of goods and services paid using payment cards amounted to 3,395.2 million rubles. The increase compared to the same period last year amounted to +31.1%, which is partly due to the continuation of the trend of expanding the payment infrastructure of the republic and the active use of bank cards as a means of payment.
The infrastructure of the APRA payment system is represented by 3,606 terminal devices, including: 153 devices - ATM APRA (ATM); 120 devices - POS PVN APRA; 3,333 devices – APRA POS-terminals.
In the structure of non-cash payments in trade and service enterprises for the 1st half of 2022, the share of transactions using MPS cards accounted for 91.9%, including MIR cards - 29.1%, and the share of APRA cards - 8.1 %.
