In 2020, the National Payment System of the Republic of Abkhazia, within the framework of the signed agreement "On the interaction of payment systems" dated July 11, 2018, between NPS APRA and JSC NSPK carried out work aimed at expanding the geography of using APRA cards with the payment application of NSPK JSC. The work, in particular, was aimed at organizing the acceptance of national APRA "World" cards in the countries of partner payment systems, in the payment infrastructure of the "Mir" substation.
In order to expand the geography of using national APRA World payment cards and in the course of further cooperation with NSPK JSC, in the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Armenia, pilot industrial operations of cross-system operations were carried out (hereinafter referred to as PIO CO). Within the framework of the PIO CO, authorization, clearing and settlements for transactions made with the APRA NPS card in the infrastructures of banks of partner payment systems were successfully carried out.
Since now, national APRA World cards are accepted on the territory of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Armenia - in payment infrastructures integrated with the MIR payment system.
The work on expanding the geography of APRA "World" cards application will continue, in the nearest future APRA cards will become available for use in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Tajikistan.
Holders of APRA "World" cards in 2020 made transactions in 144 cities of Russia, including St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, Astrakhan, Penza, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Perm, Surgut, as well as outside the Russian Federation - in Yerevan, Minsk and Tashkent.
The most popular destinations for cardholders are the cities of Sochi and Moscow.
The most remote city where APRA cards were used was Vladivostok.
