The cross-border turnover of funds carried out through the banking system of the Republic of Abkhazia for 2021 in ruble terms amounted to 97.6 billion rubles, which is 35.6 billion rubles (57%) more than in 2020.

The inflow of funds into the Republic of Abkhazia through the banking system amounted to 51.5 billion rubles, the outflow of funds from the country - 46.1 billion rubles. Thus, the balance of cash flow had a positive value of 5.4 billion rubles.

Structure of cash inflow through the banking system of the Republic of Abkhazia:

• to accounts of legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and individuals opened with credit institutions of the Republic of Abkhazia - 28.9 billion rubles;
• operations of Russian bank card holders in the infrastructure of NPS APRA – 13.6 billion rubles;
• transfer of Russian financial assistance to the budget of the Republic of Abkhazia for the purpose of socio-economic development of the Republic of Abkhazia, implementation of budget investments, support of investment activities, etc. - 5.2 billion rubles;
• receipts of the Russian pension - 3.8 billion rubles.

In 2021, the main payment currencies remain the Russian ruble, which accounts for 89.2% of the total volume of cross-border transactions, the US dollar - 6.9% and the euro - 3.4%, the rest - (Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, Turkish lira ) - 0.5%.

The balance of cross-border cash flows in 2020 had a positive value of RUB 2.2 billion (inflow - 32.1 billion rubles, outflow - 29.9 billion rubles).
