The National Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia announces the issuance of commemorative coins
“Sergey Bagapsh”, “Ephraim Eshba” and “Taif Adzhba”.

1. The commemorative coin “Sergey Bagapsh” is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the second President of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Made of 925 sterling silver, diameter of the coin 39 mm, weight 34 g., Proof-like quality, face value 10 apsars. The side surface of the coins is corrugated.

Series “Outstanding Personalities of Abkhazia”.

Catalogue number 0160010-013. Circulation - 1000 pcs.

Coin description

Obverse. The upper part depicts the state emblem of the Republic of Abkhazia, on the sides of which the inscription "Apsny Abank" is semicircular. In the center, the denomination is 10 apsars, under which against the background of the Abkhaz traditional ornament the date is 2019.
Reverse. Portrait of S.V. Bagapsh in half full face, circular inscription with the name and dates of tenure of the head of state.

The coin was minted at the Moscow Mint from 925 sterling silver (weight of pure metal 1 ounce). On both sides of the coin ring selective gilding is made.

2. The commemorative coin "Ephraim Eshba" is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Ephraim Eshba.

Made of 925 sterling silver, diameter of the coin 39 mm, weight 34 g., Proof-like quality, face value 10 apsars.

The side surface of the coins is corrugated.

Coin description

Obverse. In the upper central part, on the smooth field - the relief picture of the State Emblem of the Republic of Abkhazia, under it - the inscription in Abkhaz “Аҧсны Абанк”(The Bank of Abkhazia). The semicircular inscriptions above the State Emblem indicate the denomination of the coin “10 ҦСАРК” (10 APSARS). Along the rim to the left - the indication of the metal sign in accordance with the D.I.Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the fineness and fine precious metal content, to the right - the mint trade mark. In the lower part of the coin, on the matted field and raised small print inscriptions of five lines “Аҧсны Абанк” - the year of mintage "2018".
Reverse. Half-face portrait of Ephraim Eshba, in the background is a red pad printing of a brick wall and a corridor folded in the shape of a five-pointed star, symbolizing the Stalinist repressions of the 30s. On the left side of the portrait is the autograph of E. Eshba and the dates of his life, below - the circular inscription Ephraim Eshba.
 

3. The commemorative coin "Taif Ajba" is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the poet.

Made of 925 sterling silver, coin diameter 39 mm, weight 34 g., Proof-like quality, nominal value 10 apsars.

The side surface of the coins is corrugated.
