In the first half of 2021, the total volume of transactions carried out in the National Payment System exceeded 10.5 billion rubles. In the structure of transactions, cards of foreign payment systems accounted for 42%, APRA cards - 48%, MIR - 10%.
Significant growth in the first six months of 2021 in the National Payment System was demonstrated for Russian bank cards. The total volume of transactions with them amounted to 5.5 billion rubles, of which more than one billion rubles went through Mir bank cards.
At the end of the first half of the year, the merchant and service enterprises of the country paid for goods and services totaling 2.17 billion rubles with bank cards. At the same time, residents of Abkhazia paid for purchases with APRA cards for more than one million rubles every day.
In 2021, the stable growth of the infrastructure of the National Payment System continued. Since the beginning of this year, 438 devices (POS-terminals) have been installed that allow paying for goods and services on the territory of Abkhazia with bank cards. Today, the terminal network of the National Payment System includes over 3000 devices.
