On January 11-14, the National Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia participated in the 45th annual International numismatic convention and exhibition which took place in New York, the United States of America.
Participating in the convention were the top auction houses, credit institutions, private collectors and coin manufacturers.
The employees of the Bank of Abkhazia addressed the members of the conference and the professional numismatic society with a presentation on the Republic of Abkhazia and its banking system. In particular, they spoke about the issuing activity of the National Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia.
At the National Bank's exhibition stand, the state symbols of the Republic of Abkhazia were presented, along with commemorative investment coins, the first systematic catalogue of the commemorative investment coins of the Republic of Abkhazia in the English language and information brochures.
Members of the convention showed great interest in the exhibition stand of the Bank of Abkhazia. The convention's curator Mr Kevin Foley wrote a thank you letter to the Chairman of the Bank of Abkhazia Beslan Baratelia with an invitation to participate in the next convention.
The Bank of Abkhazia's participation in the biggest International numismatic convention is one of the stages of the Bank of Abkhazia's policy which aims to present commemorative coins of the Republic of Abkhazia to the international numismatic market and to contribute to the coins' inclusion in the oldest numismatic catalogue - the Krause catalogs.
