The National Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia for the second time took part in the 10th International Numismatic Fair (HKINF), held in Hong Kong from June 23 to June 25.

HKINF is the largest numismatic event in Asia, bringing together auction houses, credit institutions and private collectors from more than 40 countries (Great Britain, Australia, France, USA, Japan, Jordan, etc.)

The stand of the National Bank presented the state symbols of the Republic of Abkhazia, commemorative coins and banknotes, the first systematic catalog of commemorative coins and banknotes of the Republic of Abkhazia, published in English, promotional demonstration materials.

Commemorative banknotes of the Bank of Abkhazia "Vladislav Ardzinba" and "25 Apsaras" were the most demanded, which were bought up by collectors from more than 30 countries. The demand for them turned out to be so great that applications continue to come even after the end of the exhibition.

The Bank of Abkhazia regularly takes part in the largest international numismatic exhibitions, conferences and is published in the main numismatic magazines in Europe, the USA and Asia. Given the political realities of today, this is the only opportunity to declare itself as an independent issuing center representing the republic on a par with other countries, banks, regulators, mints.

The Asian region is not a new direction for the National Bank, and if in 2018 the primary task was to make itself known in this market, in 2023 the Bank of Abkhazia turned out to be a full-fledged and very popular participant.

The Asian market is the largest numismatic platform, which is rapidly developing and is characterized by high sales. It is of great interest from the point of view of the popularization of Abkhazian coins.

Participation in such events enables the Bank of Abkhazia to acquire business contacts and connections that allow expanding its activities. In particular, within the framework of the Hong Kong exhibition, agreements were reached with mints and auction houses, with which business cooperation is already underway.
