In the first half of 2022, 4,362.6 million rubles were transferred from the Republic of Abkhazia to the countries of near and far abroad through money transfer systems (“Contact”, “Zolotaya Korona”, “Unistream”), which is 31% more than the same period in 2021.
In the structure of money transfers from the country, the largest share falls on the share of transfers to the Russian Federation - 3,295.4 million rubles or 75.5%. The volume of transfers to the countries of Central Asia for the 1st half of 2022 amounted to 662.9 million rubles (15.2% of the total), which is 296.9 million rubles or 81.1% more than in the 1st half of 2021. At the same time, the main share falls on transfers to Uzbekistan - 467.1 million rubles. (10.7%), and Tajikistan - 191.4 million rubles. (4.4%). Also, the volume of money transfers to Turkey is very significant - 320.9 million rubles or 7.4% of the total amount of money transfers of individuals without opening an account.
The total volume of money transfers to the Republic of Abkhazia made by individuals through money transfer systems without opening accounts for the 1st half of 2022 amounted to 242.2 million rubles. and compared to the same period in 2021 decreased by 77.2 million rubles or 24.2%.
The largest share in the structure of transfers to the Republic of Abkhazia falls on transfers from the Russian Federation - 223.1 million rubles or 92.1%.
The structure of payment systems is dominated by transfers made through the "Contact" system, they account for 89.8% of money transfers from Abkhazia, as well as 34.5% of the volume of incoming money transfers. At the same time, the “Zolotaya Korona” payment system retains its leading position in transfers to the Republic of Abkhazia - 59.6% of the total amount of incoming transfers.
The average amount of one transfer of an individual sent from Abkhazia during the 1st half of 2022 amounted to 33.4 thousand rubles, while the average amount of an incoming transfer was 22.2 thousand rubles.
