Coins of the Bank of Abkhazia in the collection of the State Historical Museum

The National Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia donated to the State Historical Museum a commemorative silver coin "75 Years of Victory" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The reverse of the coin features a photograph of the army photojournalist S. Korotkov entitled "Mother", which depicts an Abkhaz woman Marushcha Pachulia with a photograph of her son Alexei Arshba, who died heroically in a battle in Sevastopol in 1942. The coin is issued in a limited edition of 100 pieces.

The collection of the largest national historical museum of Russia already contains coins issued by the Bank of Abkhazia - "Abkhazian hundred", "Alexander Chachba", as well as the first commemorative banknote "Vladislav Ardzinba".

The State Historical Museum is the largest national historical museum in Russia, located on Red Square in Moscow. It was founded in 1872. The Numismatics Department of the State Historical Museum stores over 1.7 million items. The basis of the collection is made up of collections of monuments of Russian money circulation, exceptional in terms of completeness.
